Dr. Jarred Fenlason

Dr. Jarred Fenlason desires to lead believers into a personal relationship with the Lord, wherein they know His voice, feel His love, and encounter His power and presence.

Jarred is a former leader at the Supernatural House of Prayer and is currently an adjunct professor at Global Awakening Theological Seminary.

He received his master's in Christian Leadership from Liberty University and his Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary, where he studied under Randy Clark, Tom Jones, and Rolland Baker.

His calling is to equip believers to walk in their spiritual gifts and to demonstrate the Kingdom of God through the full gospel — including signs and wonders. He is also the author of The Interval: The Brief Window That Shapes Your Eternal Soul.

He is the founder of Encounter Press, which publishes books for readers hungry for a deeper life with God, and which recovers neglected devotional classics through its Encounter Classics imprint.

Jarred and his wife, Rochelle, live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They have three adult children: Jordan, Carlye, and Alyssa.

The Heart Behind Encounter Discipleship

Encounter Discipleship grew out of a conviction that God desires a personal relationship with each of His children — and that the ordinary believer is invited into far more of Him than they have often been told.

Jesus said, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." Learning to recognize the Lord's voice is where relationship with Him begins. Some who come to the class have never knowingly heard Him speak. Others know His voice well and find the class widens the ways they recognize Him. Both are welcome.

From there the program moves into prayer and worship, the two keys that most deepen intimacy with God. Prayer is meant to be a two-way conversation with the Father rather than a message sent one way into the heavens. Worship is more than singing on a Sunday; it is a personal act through which a believer can encounter the manifest presence of God.

The class also takes seriously that true biblical discipleship means doing what Jesus did. Participants learn and practice a simple, Spirit-led model for praying for the sick, and learn how to receive and give words of knowledge — gifts Paul says are available to all believers for strengthening, encouraging, and comforting others. It is taught as a safe place to practice: to step out in faith, and to make mistakes while learning together.

The hope for every participant is simple — that over eight weeks they would come to know and experience God in a real, intimate, and supernatural way.

The Interval book cover

The Interval: The Brief Window That Shapes Your Eternal Soul

You are becoming someone. With every choice, every habit, every act of faithfulness or neglect, you are forming the person who will exist forever. The soul you are shaping in this brief span of years is the soul you will carry into eternity.

The Interval is for Christians who sense there is more to the faith than they have been taught—for those who want to understand how earthly formation translates into eternal capacity.
